Home to the United States’ largest mid-Atlantic seaport, Baltimore is best viewed from the water. There’s no shortage of harbor cruises in Charm City, so whether you have kids in tow, are looking to take a romantic moonlight cruise or want to learn some city history, there’s a boat ready to take you on a uniquely-Baltimore adventure.

Baltimore Inner Harbor 45-minute Cruise:
Climb aboard a Watermark Yacht to catch a glimpse of the USS Constellation and famous Fort McHenry while gliding past the Baltimore skyline. Children are welcome on this 45-minute cruise, with an open deck for sightseeing and a climate-controlled lower deck for days with less than idyllic weather. Cruises feature drinks and snacks for purchase and depart from the Light Street Finger Piers daily (March through October).

National Anthem Tour by Sea:
History buffs know the Baltimore Harbor played a significant role in the War of 1812, which marks its bicentennial this year. This 60-minute cruise celebrates Baltimore’s history, narrating for passengers the role of the harbor in the War of 1812 as it cruises past Fort McHenry and along the Baltimore Harbor of today. The National Anthem Tour by the Sea is offered through October 21 and leaves the Light Street Finger Piers daily at 11:30 a.m. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase as well as snacks.
Adults $25, Children (11 and under) $12. Purchase tickets at the Watermark Ticket Kiosk. No reservations required.

City Light’s Cruise:
This 60-minute twilight cruise of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor is the perfect way to end a day of sightseeing in Charm City. View the Baltimore skyline and its iconic Domino Sugar neon sign as the dazzling city lights reflect off the water. The City Light Cruise only takes place on Saturday evenings, so book your tickets online.
Adults $22, Children (3-11) $10.

Spirit of Baltimore:
If you’re traveling in a large group, Spirit of Baltimore is the way to experience the Inner Harbor. A variety of cruises are offered, from lunch and dinner cruises to specialty events and 50-minute sightseeing tours. The Spirit is climate controlled and can accommodate groups of 20 or more. Step out onto the open-air panoramic deck for a breathtaking view of the historic harbor.

Seadog Baltimore:
For those looking for a more adventurous Charm City experience, Seadog Cruises is a must. The 50-minute sightseeing and speedboat tour opened in Baltimore after hosting more than a million passengers at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The tour, which departs from Inner Harbor, offers a narrative of Baltimore’s historic sights as it speeds along the coastline.

SanBar Boat and Breakfast Cruise:
An overnight bed and breakfast, SanBar gives couples the opportunity to experience Baltimore’s romantic side. After the two-hour cruise, walk to one of Charm City’s historic neighborhoods for dinner at the restaurant of your choice; then head back to the boat for a nightcap. The crew will have breakfast prepared as you wake up in the morning so you can sip on your coffee and take in the beautiful Baltimore skyline. Charter the boat by yourselves or with up to two other couples.
$400 to $600 per day. Prices vary by number of couples.
