Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is about 10 miles south of Baltimore. Light rail fares from the airport to downtown’s Penn Station cost $1.60. Taxi fares to the same area cost approximately $35. Once in town, each of Baltimore’s neighborhoods is filled with restaurants and attractions located within walking distance of each other. When you’re ready to hop neighborhoods, the city’s Light Rail and Metro Subway systems can get you there quickly. For navigating the downtown area, try the Charm City Circulator, a free shuttle bus that runs every 15 minutes (hours vary by season), seven days a week. And don’t miss out on the most scenic way to travel the city—via harbor cruises and water taxis, which provide tours in between stops at several ports around the Inner Harbor.
