As a veteran newscaster and anchor on ESPN’s SportsCenter, Hannah Storm is no stranger to sit-downs with the likes of Michael Jordan and David Beckham. Storm joined ESPN five years ago after stints at CNN, NBC Sports and CBS’ The Early Show. The busy broadcaster finds time to give back via her Hannah Storm Journalism Internship at her alma mater, Notre Dame, and the Hannah Storm Foundation for children suffering from vascular birthmarks. Storm, who has three daughters, also authored the parenting guide Go Girl!: Raising Healthy, Confident and Successful Daughters through Sports. It’s no wonder this woman of action chose Barcelona’s bustling heartbeat La Rambla as her favorite street.

“The first place I headed after my latest trip to Barcelona was Cervecería Ciudad Condal. It’s a beautiful bar that’s always packed with delicious tapas and sangria.”

“Look for Spanish stores like Oysho for great lingerie and workout clothes, and Desigual, which features wild color combinations and patterns typical of the style of the region.”

“Off La Rambla is the Gothic Quarter, which is my favorite part of Barcelona, with small narrow streets exactly as they were centuries ago. Don’t miss the Museu Picasso.”

“Extend your walk to Passeig de Gràcia avenue and check out one of Gaudí’s masterpieces, Casa Batlló. Go at night when you can listen to live music out on the terrace.”
