Built in 1904, this low-slung, horizontal profile Prairie Style house shocked a neighborhood and forever changed the history of architecture. Featuring a 100-foot covered arbor, glass roof conservatory, long banded Roman brick and art-glass windows, cantilevered roofs and over-hanging eaves, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin House, a 15,000-square foot masterpiece, is just part of the breathtaking complex that includes two smaller houses, a conservatory, stables, gardens and a 100-foot-long pergola. Take the 75-minute tour exploring the architect’s genius and revealing little-know facts about Frank Lloyd Wright and the expansive project. A major, masterful restoration, completed in 2010, recreated large parts of the complex from scratch.
