The giant basket filled with apples is part of Longaberger Company's fun appeal.
An hour drive from downtown Columbus is the Longaberger headquarters in Frazeysburg. More than just baskets, the Longaberger headquarters is the ultimate destination offering everything from golfing and shopping to crafts and tours.
Learn about the Legend:
It all started when J.W. Longaberger started weaving baskets in the early 1900s. His son, Dave, learned the art of basket weaving, and in 1976, J.W. Handwoven Baskets (The Longaberger Company, today) was born.
Visitors to the Longaberger headquarters learn and experience the company’s history first-hand with two different tours. On the Mezzanine Tour, visitors can view the factory floor as well as historical stations that delve into company and Longaberger family history. For a closer look, join in on the Floor Tour, which shows visitors an in-depth look of how Longaberger baskets are hand woven.
Create your own:
Get inspired by your visit and create a craft or your very own Longaberger basket.
In the Manufacturing Complex visitors can participate in the Make a Basket craft and take home their very own hand-woven piece of art. Choose from three different patterns and two color choices. Then personalize your basket further with handles, leather straps, and seasonal themes. The fee to participate is approximately $67, and call ahead to reserve a spot.
Shop for favorites:
At the factory store visitors can find retired products and Longaberger favorites at reduced prices. Many of the items sold are only available here.
Find Longaberger products that feature NFL and collegiate sport’s teams including the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes at the shop at the homestead. Here visitors will also find home décor and food items such as Paula Dean’s marinades. Boyds Bears and Yankee Candle products are sold here, too.
Playing at Longaberger:
