You could stand on shore and see manta rays while peering from a resort deck, but what would be the fun in that? Snorkel or dive with these magnificent creatures on a manta ray night dive (or snorkel) during their feeding time when the plankton are attracted by illuminating spotlights. The world underwater is a beautiful sight during the day, but takes on a completely different appearance at night. Gentle manta rays can have up to a 20-foot wingspan, and are willing to come very close to divers and snorkelers who linger nearby to observe. Several diving companies offer packages for this sort of activity and others, including swimming with the dolphins, among other things.
