Hike: People come from all around to use Vegas as a jumping-off point for Zion National Park and Death Valley, but tend to overlook the amazing Red Rock Canyon, a scenic loop only 25 minutes from downtown. The park features wildlife such as burros and bighorn sheep, views of breathtaking red sandstone rock formations, plus dozens of hiking trails ranging from easy to challenging.

Show: It’s a battle of the sexes pirate -tyle. Stop by the Treasure Island Resort and Casino to view the nightly performance of the Sirens of TI. There’s music, dancing and storytelling in the Siren’s Cove in front of the hotel.

Dinner: Chef Paul Bartolotta has America’s most impressive selection of imported Mediterranean fish, which he flies in daily and sells by weight, at Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare. Gilthead sea bream and red mullet are just two examples, and his other dishes, such as agnolotti del plin—thumbnail sized pasta pockets with a meaty filling—and exemplary pastas, showcase both his passion
and skill.
