It’s said that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but the Backstreet Boys residency has the world buzzing. Starting this month, the all-time best-selling boy band follows in the footsteps of Britney Spears and Mötley Crüe, playing 23 gigs through July 1. A.J. McLean, 39, who joins Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, considers the high-energy concert a rebirth. “Vegas is an international hub, so it’s the perfect place for us to be,” he says. “The show will blow peoples’ minds. If you’re a fan, you’ll love it. If you’re not, you’ll become one.” The band might sing “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” during the show, but the truth is that it never really left the world stage.

Canyon Ranch SpaClub Las Vegas
“You can have two masseuses work on you at once,” McLean says of the Zen-like spa. “It takes you outside of feeling like you’re in the middle of Vegas.”

Nobu Restaurant and Lounge Caesars Palace
McLean raves about this restaurant coowned by Robert De Niro. “I never was a sushi guy until I met my wife. Now I love the yellowtail!”

Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino
“I never lose [there]. Combined, here and [Hard Rock], I’ve won close to $100,000. I may have spent it all, but at least I’ve won it!”

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
“I’m a father, and coffee is my saving grace, my holy grail. There’s something about the [seasonal] White Chocolate Dream latte that’s really sweet and sugary. I love it.”
