If you’re feeling a bit wild, head to the OKC Zoo—ranked one of the 10 best zoos in the United States. Be sure to check out the Great EscApe. One of the top attractions, this $6.6 million exhibit that features gorillas, orangutans and chimpanzees. You’ll also find the Herpetarium which is home to cold-blooded reptiles and amphibians. If you love marine life, head to Aquaticus for a glimpse of 1,500 aquatic creatures from around the world. And the Cat Forest/Lion Overlook exhibit includes nine species of wild cats in settings filled with thousands of native plants. The newest addition to the zoo, the $10.3 million Oklahoma Trails exhibit showcases more than 800 animals native to the state, such as black bears, cougars, river otters, turkey vultures and western diamond rattlesnakes.
