Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL)

The former Dorval International Airport received its new name in 2004 in honor of the Canadian prime minister, and with a new name came a renaissance for the once lagging airport. Trudeau has seen passenger attendance climb in the past seven years, reaching nearly 13 million in 2010, and it has added amenities to sate the growing crowds. Currently, the airport is adding new boarding gates and expanding the international departures area.

Transborder Departures // Two years ago, the airport doubled the size of its transborder terminal and added a state-of-the-art baggage sorting system that allows customs officials easier access to baggage, making the customs process quicker.

Airspa // This full-service spa offers chair and table massages, manicures, pedicures and facial and body treatments to soothe you preflight or provide a quick refresh postflight.

Four-Star Hotel // Also new to the airport is a 279-room four-star Marriott Hotel that is connected to the international terminal. There’s also an area beneath the hotel for a future train station that will connect with the rail system.
