Bozeman has a thriving downtown art scene, with a number of studios and galleries showing off everything from typical Western wildlife art to avant-garde sculpture—and plenty in between. From June through September, downtown art walks on the second Friday of each month show off some of the talent. Start at the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture, where more than a dozen resident artists open their doors, then work your way downtown, noshing on hors d’oeuvres and sipping free wine from the gallery openings along the way. Many local businesses hang paintings and open their doors for the monthly art crawls, and the vibe on Main Street is festive, with street musicians and performers doing their thing on the sidewalks.
