Famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who is credited with inventing the Prairie Style house, has six of his architectural masterpieces in the Buffalo area including the Darwin Martin House and Graycliff. Watercolor artist Charles E. Burchfield spent a large portion of his adulthood, during his artistic peak, in Buffalo, and the largest collection of his works is now on display at the Burchfield Penny Art Center. A Jewish refugee from Poland, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer was raised in Buffalo and graduated from the University of Buffalo. Author F. Scott Fitzgerald spent nearly a decade of his childhood in Buffalo. Musician Ani DiFranco was born in Buffalo and now owns Babeville, home to the venue Ashbury Hall as well as her music label, Righteous Records. Actors Christine Baranski, David Boreanaz and Vincent Gallo are all from Buffalo.
