Mert’s Heart and Soul’s Low Country and Gullah-inspired dishes are a true taste of the south. This twist on soul food features dishes like shrimp and grits, Charleston red rice and macaroni and cheese. Check out the cherry white chocolate cookies for dessert. Owners James and Renee Bazzelle are active in the restaurant and in the community; they want to make sure their customers feel at home the moment they walk in the door.
