Type: Nature Centers & Zoos

Built in 1933, the Krohn Conservatory has special exhibits throughout the year that showcase flowers and plants from around the world. Of special note is the butterfly show in the spring where thousands of butterflies fly around a specially-themed garden, a yearly orchid show and the holiday flower show. Permanent displays include the rainforest waterfall, exotic plants in the Palm, Tropical Desert and Orchid houses. Today, the conservatory houses a collection of more than 1,000 different plant species on permanent display.
