Clevelanda rockin' good time

Cleveland is a melting pot of nationalities and cultures. You can experience many of them in the West Side Market and its neighborhood. Just across the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge from Public Square, the market is a gastronomical wonderland. Still in its original 1840 building, it houses more than 100 vendors selling fresh meats, fish and poultry, homemade baked goods, fruits and vegetables, cheeses and more. Just north of the market there’s an eclectic collection of stores and restaurants representing nationalities including Turkey, Lebanon, Puerto Rico and Cambodia. Directly across the street from the market’s main entrance is the tiny Market Avenue, with a great restaurant, Flying Fig (see Restaurants), Cleveland’s largest microbrewery, Great Lakes Brewing Company, which is also a restaurant, the Market Avenue Wine Bar, with more than 700 wines and a selection of international appetizers from the West Side Market and a pleasant coffee shop, the Koffie Café.
