If renting a car isn’t the best bet for your stay in Dallas, the network of rail line (Dallas Area Rapid Transit – DART), Trinity Railway Express and bus services can get you to 12 surrounding cities, including Fort Worth, within its 700-square-mile service area. Taking public transit reduces stress from bad traffic and can be a good alternative to parking downtown. It’s cheap too—just $4 for an unlimited-ride local day pass.
