Daytona’s 23 miles of beaches offer a unique ocean park atmosphere that differentiates Daytona Beach from the rest of Florida. Food and recreational vendors are found right on the beach and offer everything from burgers, ice cream and hot dogs to bicycles and boogie boards. Daytona’s hard-packed sands even make bicycling on the beach possible and on certain stretches (11 of the strand’s 23 miles), for a $5 toll, you can drive and park your vehicle on the beach. You will also find beachfront parks with off-beach parking, volleyball courts, playgrounds and picnicking facilities. Travelers with disabilities can reserve unique Surf Chairs at no cost, enabling visitors to experience the beaches without damaging their own equipment.
