Motor City Casino Hotel’s AAA-rated four-diamond gem of a restaurant,
Iridescence, has elevated fine dining with its recent relocation to the hotel’s top floor. Now perched 16 stories high, Iridescence offers stunning views from its 40-foot glass windows. Thirty-seven sandstone tables make room for 157 diners, and private seating with a tailor-made menu is available.
With new surroundings comes a fresh, locally inspired menu. Chef Adam Hightower’s modern American cuisine highlights regional ingredients that vary by the season, from Michigan apples and cherries to morel mushrooms and farm-fresh, organic Cornish game hens. “We’ll use everything Michigan has to offer,” Hightower says.
More than 300 bottles of wine grace a custom-made, floor-to-ceiling, climate-controlled wine wall at the restaurant, a 2007 winner of
Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.
