Lay of the Land

Located on the southeastern shore of the island of Oahu, Honolulu is the only incorporated city in the state of Hawaii. Downtown Honolulu is the business and governmental center of the state, but most hotels, shops and entertainments are located in the tourist center of Waikiki. Along the eastern edge of historic Chinatown is the Arts District Honolulu, home to most major cultural and artistic institutions.
