Though it seems odd that the handiwork of a talented interior designer is really what separates Mint from the bevy of Southern/Soul food restaurants on the Jackson scene, the twinkling red chandelier and bold gothic design will have you convinced you’re not in Mississippi anymore. With a new chef, a new seasonally changing menu and fresh, local ingredients, Mint is challenging what it means to be a restaurant in Jackson. Try the butter burger with fried pickles, crystal hot sauce aioli, brown sugar bacon and sweet potato fries on the side. Oh yeah, and ask for the fried egg on top. You can thank us later.
