Dating back to the 1930s, Plantation Gardens was originally the home of the manager of the Koloa sugar plantation. Later, the estate was acquired by the Moir family who built the world famous gardens that surround the restaurant. It’s a laid-back place to sip a cocktail and sample hors d’oeuvres while relaxing on the Lanai, or retreat to the refurbished dining room which has the retro feel of Rick’s in Casablanca, with cherry wood floors, woven bamboo tables and plantation ceiling fans circling lazily overhead. The crab rangoons are not to be missed.
