Londoners are abuzz over the re-opened Café Royal hotel on Regent Street. Bar manager Francesca Nieddu keeps the tongues wagging with the Red Lion cocktail, originally created at Café Royal in the 1930s.


Red Lion
1 ounce Sipsmith gin
1 ounce Grand Marnier
1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice

Shake ingredients well with cracked ice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass that’s rimmed with lemon juice and sugar.
