For lovers of old-world charm, a trip to the Twin Cities is a must, as the number of opportunities to turn back the hands of time and party like the days when the local hotspot was a block away abound. For the most personable among these time-stamped locales, visit Gasthofs where you can drink out of a glass boot and dance the polka (though we don’t recommend attempting both at once!). There are rules you’ll need to heed but they’re only in place to enhance your enjoyment, such as Das Boot can never touch the table until it is empty; and After drinking, you must flick the glass with your finger before passing Das Boot. Heck, after a pull or two, they might even let you make up your own rules!
