Go There:
Be at the center of it all with a room at the stylish Hotel St. Paul at the gateway of Old Montreal. Rent a two-wheeler through the city’s BIXI bike share, then ride up to Mount Royal for a picnic by picturesque Beaver Lake. For a little retail therapy, head to neighborhoods such as Old Port (make sure Reborn is on your list for designer favorites) and boho Mile End, where vintage stores such as Citizen Vintage (rated one of the best in the city) seem to outnumber the residents. For dinner, head to one of the amazing Portuguese eateries in Little Lisbon—we like Portus Calle. —Elizabeth Doyle
