American Pinewood Social Club in Nashville is one of the coolest new concepts to hit this country’s dining scene in years. The 13,000-square-foot space is part bar and restaurant, social hangout, bowling alley, karaoke lounge and bocce ball court. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, with Americana-style plates such as pot roast, fried chicken, calf’s liver and onions, omelets and beef tongue reubens. But with Josh Habiger (formerly of the Catbird Seat) at the helm, you can expect that this won’t be your average American fare. Drinks are taken just as seriously as the food, with the baristas from Crema developing a killer coffee menu and Matt Tocco (who’s worked at Patterson House and Rolf & Daughters) mixing scratch-made craft cocktails.
