The Norfolk International Airport is a mere six miles from the heart of the city, making for a quick ride. Just be cautious of crowding. It’s a small airport and there are always a lot of passengers coming through, plus, there aren’t many lounges, so if you arrive early, you’ll be sitting at the gate.
At the junction of two major rivers and on the bay, Norfolk is a riverfront town. And don’t just stick to the city! Make time to visit Colonial Williamsburg to the north, and chill out in Virginia Beach to the east.
