A casual sandwich joint owned by fine-dining institution Hugo’s down the block, tiny Duckfat has lines out the door at lunchtime. It’s well worth the wait, though, for duck confit and tongue reuben paninis, along with a handful of more conventional options. Some patrons come just for the hand-cut Belgian French fries, served in a generous cone with creative sauces (and fried in, you guessed it, duck fat).
