A cool women’s boutique in a mod, narrow showroom at the edge of the Old Port, Black Parrot feels like an art gallery and carries jewelry, apparel, toiletries, shoes and accessories from designer labels such as Humanoid, Inhabit, Outsiders, Samantha Pleet and others. This isn’t the same shop you’d find in Manhattan—owners Sherrie Gibson and Kate Smith are local girls, and Black Parrot has a Mainer’s sensibility.
