Lions, tigers and mountain lions, oh my! This animal sanctuary is a must-see if your visit to Reno is timed to allow it. Out in the desert 20 minutes from Reno, it’s a 30-acre preserve with both local species of wildlife and exotic animals, all rescued and cared for by a cadre of enthusiastic staff and volunteers. Foxes, owls, bears, lynxes, cheetahs and more are all here and allowed to roam freely, and visitors are allowed to view the animals up close.
