This oasis of green serenity lines the Truckee River as it winds through downtown Reno, with running paths and bridges that are lighted up prettily at night and lots of places to take a dip in the river. In the summer, the month-long Artown turns the park into a giant gallery with live music day and night along with movie showings. Wingfield hosts other major events, too, such as the annual Basque Festival, the River Festival and more. The amphitheater hosts many of the major rock ’n’ roll and country acts that come through Reno on the way to Vegas.
