Reno is quite the arts town; the city displays 45 pieces of outdoor public art and 62 art pieces in the City Hall collection. Sierra Arts—part gallery, part art school, part craft fair—fuels a lively gallery scene in Reno, with classes, community grants and other projects.

The University of Reno offers one of only two Basque Studies programs in the United States as well as the National Judicial College. The university was also named one of the top 200 colleges in the country, according to a U.S. News and World Report ranking.
