Reno is right on Interstate 80, so you can’t miss it. The Reno-Tahoe airport is small but well run; it was recently awarded the second most efficient airport in North America by the Air Transport Research Society. There’s a city bus that’s convenient to downtown Reno, and taxis and shuttles are plentiful, but you may prefer to rent a car, as many of Reno’s most enjoyable attractions such as the nearby mountains require a car to get there. San Francisco is only four hours away, Sacramento only two hours away and Lake Tahoe just a 20-minute hop.
