Like its original Brooklyn namesake, which has spawned a chain of six Knitting Factory enterprises across the continent and in Warsaw, this western outpost of the brand showcases a revolving roster of local and touring bands. Voted best concert venue by the Reno News & Review, The Knit is your best bet for national acts, and the prices—ranging from $13-$30—are much lower than you’d pay to see the same band on their next stop in San Francisco or North Hollywood. Some nights feature as many as four or five bands, so be prepared for a lot of setting up and tearing down and late hours.
