This Santa Teresa bar opened in 1919 and hasn’t changed much since. Also known as Bar do Gomes, it’s a classic watering hole with about 100 different kinds of cachaça, ice-cold beers and plenty of dedicated Cariocas who linger inside and out. You really can’t go wrong here, whether it’s for a late lunch or hanging out late at night.
