Circo Voador, or “Flying Circus,” is appropriately situated in a large tent-like structure underneath the Lapa aqueduct. Inspired by the original avant-garde Circo from the 1980s, this is one of the most eclectic hot spots in town. Come here to listen to guest artists play everything from house, samba, pagode, funk and pop. Need more stimulation? You can also sign up for capoeira classes and learn the basics of the Afro-Brazilian martial art.
