A must-visit, Confeitaria Colombo was built in 1894 and remains an architectural marvel. The tearoom is fully decked-out in the Belle Époque style and feels worlds away from its surroundings in Rio’s bustling Centro district with its marble countertops and preserved stained-glass windows. There is a café menu, but the tea, coffee and pastries are the offerings worth writing home about.
