When you enter the Heritage Museum of Orange County with its beautifully landscaped grounds, you take a step back in history. The historical Kellogg House, the foundation of this museum, was built in 1898 and now is used for hands-on education about the Victorian era. A notable feature of the home is the ship’s mast, salvaged from a ship in San Francisco, that reaches through the center of the house from the floor to the very top of the building. A guided tour will teach you about the history of the Kellogg House, as well as the Maag House, and take you through the gardens and blacksmith shop.
