This former cigar store (built in 1913) still manages to exude the old world feel even if the live band is covering a Bon Jovi song. A DJ handles the upstairs bar while patrons dance wherever they can find a spot to move. The Gator Club building is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a certified locals’ favorite in Sarasota.
