More than 40 percent of the nation’s antique stores are found in Insa-dong, which has become known as “Merry’s Area,” a favorite shopping spot among foreigners. One of the most intriguing amongst the treasured shops is “Tong-in,” which carries traditional Korean and handcrafted items such as chinaware, porcelain and antique furniture, as well as historical works of art.
