For more than 500 years, the Moors’ Clock Tower has told the citizens of Venice what time it is. It’s redolent of legends and full of quirks: For example, wooden statues of the Magi and the Angel emerge in procession twice a year, on the feasts of the Epiphany and the Ascension. The tower is a minor engineering marvel and glorious piece of architecture. Most folks are content to gawk at its beautiful façade, but it’s inside the tower itself where things get really interesting. Make time for a guided tour.
