This narrow dining room (fewer than 10 tables) has achieved some renown on account of convivial owner Ernesto—and because it’s likely the only restaurant in Venice that doesn’t serve seafood. There are delicious primi with fresh vegetables and great entrées such as veal scaloppine, filetto al pepe verde (steak in a green-peppercorn sauce) or straccetti di filetto alla rucola (beef strips tossed with arugula). Make sure to bring cash. The resaurant doesn't accept credit cards or checks.
