The Metro-North train ride up the Hudson River offers clear views of seemingly untouched countryside. As you ride in comfort, take in the majestic expanse of the Hudson contrasting with the severity of cliffs that hug its banks. With 384 route miles and 775 miles of track, Metro-North stops at 120 stations in seven counties, including Westchester and New York, so most likely, you can get to where you need to go on a day trip or longer via train. The three main lines that run east of the Hudson River—the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven—operate right out of Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
