Right now, I am sitting at the delicious new Seagate Hotel & Spa in Delray Beach, Fla., where I am relaxing after an exceptionally heady week. Meetings, meetings, meetings! Plus a few glamorous dinners, naturally, and then a very late night at the Lady Gaga concert at MSG’s Radio City Music Hall in New York. Fabulous and weird, all rolled into one. But more on the Gaga-rama after I recover. Post-Gaga, I scooted down to South Florida to nurse my workaday wounds and sip a few glasses of Sauvignon Blanc upon the Atlantic shores. As I recline upon my cabana-striped chaise at the Seagate’s fabulous Beach Club, I am scrolling through reader mail to see what my fellow Jetsetters are thinking about this week.
Herewith a few far-flung tidbits:
David from Dallas reports: “I am crazy about the Village Tea Company and love to retreat to this amazing café for the terrific selection of loose teas paired with sandwiches and salads. Plus, my kids love the place, too, thanks to the banana-Nutella crepes and non-caffeinated teas sweetened with fruit juices. Check it out.”
Molly from Chicago writes to me: “Dear Jetset: You MUST get your hands on a box of Eboost, a mineral-packed daily health booster that carries me through long flights around the globe. I drop an effervescent tablet into my morning water and really feel revived and ready to tackle the day ahead. It’s a travel essential!”
Thanks, Molly.
Finally, Jenna from Tampa, Fla., raves about Delta Sky magazine contributor Saxon Henry’s new design book, Four Florida Moderns: “Architecture fans have to get a copy of this fantastic book that showcases the works of stellar talents such as Guy Peterson, Chad Oppenheim and Albert E. Alfonso. As a Tampa native, it was great to see the profile on Alfonso’s stunning Airside C terminal building at our international airport. Plus, the book looks so darn great upon my coffee table!”
Back to my Sauvignon. Have a splendid week!
