Buffalo

Known as the first inland oceanarium, the Aquarium of Niagara opened thirty years ago and features an ongoing display of fish and aquatic life from the Great Lakes to the California coast and Antarctica to the coral reef. Spread across 50 exhibits, the 1,500-plus marine animals include sharks, piranha, bottlenose dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, California sea lions and the endangered Peruvian penguin. Visitors can stop to watch the marine demonstrations, including animal feedings and sea lion training, at 90-minute intervals. And added bonus: the second level observation deck boast a spectacular view of Niagara Falls.
