Constructed in 1933 as the union terminal station 1.5 miles outside the city center, the Art Deco building was reconstructed in 1990 as a museum center that houses the Cincinnati History Museum and Cincinnati Historical Society Library, the Museum of Natural History and Science, the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX theater and the Duke Energy Children’s Museum. It was recently named one of the top 50 architecturally significant buildings in America by the American Institute of Architects.
