Clevelanda rockin' good time

Cedar Point is one of America’s favorite amusement parks. In fact, it’s internationally known for its roller coasters—17 of them—all quite imaginative and thrilling. The park, which opened in 1870 (though nothing from that era remains today), also features 57 other rides, about half of which are geared toward children. Located on the shore of Lake Erie, about 60 miles west of Cleveland, Cedar Point is open from spring through autumn. There is a beautiful beach there, too, as well as a hotel, campground, cabins and other lodging options—plus the nearby Castaway Bay, a hotel with an indoor water park—all of which offer packages including discount park tickets.
