Just south of downtown Dallas is one of the nation’s largest open-air farmers markets spread across 12 acres of land. It was formalized as a municipal market in 1941 and has thrived ever since. It is open year-round, almost every day of the year. Work up an appetite walking amid the produce vendors and then head to Shed 2. Set up as a “foodie’s delight”, shop spices, meats, cheeses, pastries and more and then sit down to lunch served Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
