Take a self-guided walking tour, an audio tour that promises to teach even more about the art than you could learn on your own or take a self-guided tour using your smart phone. Don’t have one? You may be able to check out an iPod touch for the tour so you can take advantage of the interactive content. View art from American and European painting and sculpture, contemporary art from 1945 to present, African art, ancient American and Mediterranean art and more. Check out the Center for Creative Connections to experience and learn about art in a more hands-on way. Drop in to the Tech Lab, see a film in the center’s theater, make your own art at an event in the art studio and let the kids learn in the Arturo’s Nest or the Young Learners Gallery. After a day of exploration, end your day at the museum out in the sculpture garden.
