Recognized as one of the top five botanic gardens in the United States, the Denver Botanic Gardens is immense, with a children’s garden, a mountain to climb and even a farm within its boundaries. Take a guided tour or explore on your own; Free wi-fi is provided so your smartphone or tablet can guide you around. There’s also a summer concert series, and Tai Chi classes are held in the gardens on Tuesdays. If your inner gardener is waiting to get out, sign up for one of the botanic garden’s educational classes; you can learn about water-saving gardening, Japanese tea ceremony or the art of botanical illustration.
