Chef and owner Alex Seidel has added farmer to his award-winning resume; last year he purchased a 10-acre farm from which he now sources his own chickens, produce, sheep and goats. Seidel's iconoclastic style is reflected in Fruition's oddball dining room, which is long and narrow, has almost no view and doesn't have a bar. Instead, what it does have is as many tables that will fit comfortably in the boxy space, and a friendly waitstaff that zips around making sure you know exactly where those beets you’re eating came from.
